Gomez to return to United, Guerrero to Rapids
DC United has brought Christian Gomez back with the team, trading midfielder Ivan Guerrero to Colorado, along with a designated player slot and a second round draft pick in 2010 to the Rapids.

After a season with top priced talent but bottom drawer results, DC United appears to be building from the bottom of the roster on up this time around. By signing a core of dedicated young Americans all the while bidding adieu to their South American gunslingers sends the message that United is done with show ponies and are putting their faith in work horses for now.
