DC United begins searching for its sixth head coach in 15 years as head coach Tommy Soehn fell on his sword yesterday after a second straight season in which DC United did not make the playoffs, and failed in other domestic and international competitions as well.

Tom Soehn decided not to return for a fourth year as D.C. United head coach. Soehn had a record of 36-30-24 in MLS play during his tenure but his team failed to make the playoffs for a second consecutive season last week.
