D.C. United dominated play from start to finish but had to rely on a stoppage time goal from Ben Olsen to garner United a more than deserved 1-1 draw with the visiting New England Revolution.
A tale of two halves as both D.C. United and the Chicago Fire took turns dominating the action. United owned the first 45 minutes while Chicago owned the last 45. Naturally and deservedly, both teams left with a point in the 1-1 draw.
DC United gives up two late goals to United killer Landon Donovan to steal two points away from the Black and Red. A terrible penalty kick call against United and more poor defensive marking sealed United’s fate in this match and they had to go back to RFK with only one point.
