RACE DAY DETAILS



WHEN: Saturday June 2,

TIME: Meet 7:00 am, Race begins at 8:30 AM-ends around 10:00 AM

WHERE: Race begins at 12th and Constitution, SEs and DC United staff will meet at the corner of 12th and Constitution, look for the DC United/Screaming Eagle booth at Freedom Plaza (this is different from where we have met in the past).

Our team will complete the course in two groups.

One group will walk and one group will run the 5K.



HOW TO SIGN UP

In-person:

You can sign-up at the SE Info Table at DC United home games during the month of May (we have applications)


Mail

Pick up an application at your local Safeway, Hechts or Metro station (or download from http://nationalraceforthecure.org/registration.html#mail)

Team code is DCU

$25 to register (mail/in-person)

(checks made out to Komen National Race for the Cure please).

DC United is doing some special activities for certain games. For details visit the DC United web site



Lisa Middlebrook will turn in your applications and get your race gear. Shirts and race bibs can be picked up from her at the DC United/SE booth at Freedom Plaza on race day.

NOTES

Due to National Park regulations you cannot sign up on race day so please select one of the options above.

On the day of the race bring as little with you as possible. There will be no where to store personal items. However, please remember to bring safety pins to attach your race bib. Please wear DC United or Screaming Eagles gear so we look as great as we are. Metro will open at 6:00 am. All participants receive a Race for the Cure t-shirt.



Please join us on June 2. Last year's event was a blast and this year looks to be a repeat. This is a great opportunity for the Screaming Eagles and DC United to work together for a great cause. If you are unable to join us, please consider making a donation. All donations and registration fees are tax deductible.
