NY has been steadily eroding their own fan base for years now and it has taken it's toll. Many soccer fans up there have simply given up rather than deal with an unresponsive stadium authority, a poor team on the field, a management that ignores them or even seeks to undermine them by splitting them up into factions. And now Red Bull has done little besides talk and one bus ride to actually back up any of their boasts about helping support their fans. I almost feel sorry for them as they deserve better, but I must admit it does secretly amuse me.

Nice win! I hope this is a sign of things to come for United. Good to see goals from Gallardo and Santino. Soehn is looking to push Gallardo up in the attack and I hope he continues to be effective in doing so. The team needs it. Still waiting to see Emilio get into the mix. Unfortunately, I had to listen to the game on the radio. The announcer was good and entertaining, but the post show asked for phone calls and emails and never got to them. On a non-United note, does anyone know what's going on with the low attendance figures at NY Red Bull? I expect this from KC, but NYC/NJ??? Awful.

A wise man once said, the only stat in soccer that's important is the number of goals scored by each team.
